...so I could crack it out and sell it to a big time dealer.
But, alas, I got out-sniped.>>
What with another long thread tonight about the NT/AT thing I'm just glad I like my coins blast white.

Ask TBT, he decided to start throwing insults around based on where one lives.
<< <i>What makes you think it's AT? >>
ANACS thinks it's AT. The fact that I tried to snipe it should give an indication of what I thought.

Russ,
Do you think ANACS could be wrong or just being careful?
With due apologies to greattoning and the new owner, who cares?
It looks like UT to me.
Ug-leee.
The colors are pretty but the sneeze-spots just don't do it for me.
Each to their own, hole coin dude!
...Someone sells a bogus AT 1964-D Kennedy, clearly described and slabbed as AT, for $34.19. As long as this continues, the ovens will continue to generate a lot of heat.
Doesn't seem to give much incentive for sparing the acetylene torch.
People can talk about the strip-and-dippers all they want. As much as I (usually) don't like that, it's not nearly the mania that the market for toners is. No one dips a coin and increases its market value by a factor of five or ten.
I'm on the fence as to whether it's AT or NT. (Legal Disclaimer: This is just my opinion. No intention to flip-flop expressed or implied.)
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

You're operating on the assumption that the coin really is artificially toned.

Though K6AZ attempted to represent ANACS as the utmost authority and expert witness in toning issues on another thread, that simply is not the case. It is pretty clear why Russ was willing to place that bid for that coin. ANACS blew the call. They aren't such an utmost authority.
