I'm over from the coin forums, does anyone know what his autograph is worth, its on a seperate peice of paper attached to an Egghead photo. He is hold ing an egg.
Unless the photo is vintage and the paper or index card is signed in ink it will always be worth less than a SP or signed photo, which most collectors will want. As he is not rare or even scarce the preference will always be signed photos over cuts - regardless if they are pasted to a photo. A signed photo lists for around $115 - but you can buy authentic examples for far less than that. I have a B/w 8"x10" lobby still from "The Whales of August" signed by him as well as Lillian Gish and Ann Southern and the whole thing, from a UACC dealer, was $50. A cut, even vintage, lists for around $50, and can be had got much less than that. He was a responsive signer and often drew a self portrait along with his signature. These are highly collectible.
