he over charges on a commonb then makes even more on him by charing 3x the cost to ship it. i wish there was a relieble card auction site it annoys me

When you get that site up and running, please post a link so that I can save a few $ on shipping for low pop commons that I need! Thanks.
Tinas716: There are two links in this thread - a graded Boog Powell and a graded common: 1. In neither case is the seller charging anything - these were both auctions. 2. In neither case is there a $7.00 shipping charge. One of them was $6.00, but that's pretty clearly stated up front, and he'll reduce the shipping to $3.85 if you want to kick the insurance. What am I missing here?

sorry i ment 6.00 then, regardless if its told up front or not, i dont think it right that they are even allowed to charge that much for shipping. thats just my 2 cents thought obviously they have no problems doing it so more power to them
It's a Mint 9, so it's not exactly a common card, even if the players are. That's actually a fairly common price for tough cards in heavily collected 1960s registry sets. Check out recent 1973 Del Unser auctions. $356 for an 8, 1 of 7. The raw one looked OK, too, not an 8, but you would save quite a bit.
WANTED: 2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25 2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9 Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs
The card in question is a 1/2 however, had those 2 not butted heads on it the duke or rum would have gotten it for substantially less. rum is a new player in the 65 set game, while we all know who the duke is. I already owned an 8 so i went after other cards in 9 that night. Rum won at least 15 of the 20 or so listed and from what i saw that nite had incredible bids on each and every one that he had competion for, and that one, is one where 2 guys both had their brass balls on. i agree with helio now that i have digested the matter fully, as i have seen certain low pop cards in the 65 set go for a couple of hundred for those with a low pop in 8.

It doesn't really matter what they charge for shipping. Just do the math and adjust your bid accordingly.
Edited to say: Of course, it might be in eBay's best interest to put limits on shipping costs, as it is a form of Final Value Fee avoidance.
