Civil War Token Question - By instead of Be

Hi,
I was at the local flea market today and I saw a coin vendor that had a few Civil War Tokens. One of them looked odd because of a mispelled word. The token had "Army and Navy" on one side but the n in and was either very faint or missing even though the coin was otherwise well struck and the other side said "The Federal Union It Must and Shall BY Preserved". I believe the word BY is a mispelling of BE. Would this be anything special?
Thanks,
MrSpud

Another popular CW token depicts an American flag with the message "If anyone attempts to tear it down shoot him on the spoot" instead of spot.
By the way, the Morgan turned to have mild clashmarks instead of being a RPM. At least that's my current theory after looking at it under the microscope. It has what appears to be the top of the wheat-seedhead hitting in the center and right side of the mintmark as well as a spike between the left wing and the N of In God We Trust (that seems to be a clash from Libertys Neck on the reverse), and also a little spike coming out of Libertys neck on the obverse (that seems to be a clash from the left wingtip). I can also make out a clash of the back of Libertys cap and hair on the reverse in the right field of the reverse next to and above the arrowheads.
