British "Trade Dollars?"

Greetings, All -

I was wondering if British Trade Dollars are like U.S. Trade Dollars in the sense that they were meant to be used only in Asia. Does anyone know?

Are British Trade Dollars as rare as U.S. Trade Dollars in MS64 and MS65 condition?

Thanks,

Dan

Yes they were intended only to be used in the Orient and Midle East. They aren't as scarce as US Trade Dollars in MS64 and MS65. You should be able to pick them up for under $200.

I was looking at some examples, and they're beautiful coins. For that price, I think I will eventually add one to my collection.
