G-Carion - Put an e-mail block on me as soon as the item was paid for. When I tried to e-mail him that he sent type-1 instead of type-2, I couldn't get thru. I left neg feedback and he replied that he can't give refund if nothing recieved. That's a scumbag if you ask me.

Don't know if there's ever been a list started that we can check to avoid the scumbags of EBay, but I am starting one now. If you have one or a list of "scumbags" that you want to share here, please do so and hopefully we'll all have better EBay experiences. Thank you.

    Why would he block you as soon as you pay for an item? I suspect there's more to the story...

    He knew he was cheating me. I never was able to get e-mail thru to him. My e-mail to him comes back to me saying that it's being blocked. We've had no correspondence other than his sending me an invoice.

    This doesn't make sense. Why would someone block you right after receiving payment, especially if they shipped the item? Plus they *did* leave you a positive before you even left your feedback, so they weren't playing the retaliation game like a true scumbag would.

    Well, if you can get through to him, why don't you ask. I have never been able to do that.

    You should be able to get contact info thru e-bay. Give them a call on the phone.

    EBay has a live help desk, but I've gotten no, none, nada help from them. They said I'd have to wait 30-60 days to file a complaint.

    I'm currently waiting on an e-mail from EBay that's supposed to contain contact information for G-Carion, but if he blocks my e-mail, doesn't it stand to reason that he'll hang up on me if I am lucky enough to get his correct phone number from EBay? I'll call him though and hope we can resolve this, but the damage has been done and I will never trust this scumbag for any coin in the future. Besides, why would he talk on the phone to me if he blocks my e-mail? He's got my money - I've got the coin that he wants me to have. He's got it all. All I've got is this crap Type-1 cent and my temper. If any of you are smart, don't buy Type-2 "S" or Small, Micro mint mark or any similar type coins from him. If he did it to me, he might do it to you.

    Maybe his internet provider is automatically blocking your emails! This is the kind of thread where this complaint should have been investigated much further before posting! JMO!

    All I can add is that is one flashy ebay listing. I am dizzy from trying to read it. I think I am going to lay down now.

    Ok, I talked to this guy on the phone. He seems like he wants to resolve the issue and said he would send me a real type-2 if I would have the neg feedback dropped. We agreed to this. But I just found out that the only way to get feedback dropped is to go thru Square Trade and that it will cost me $20.
    Looks like you're right Ken. I shoulda done all this BEFORE posting this thread, actually before posting neg feedback!
    BTW, he said that he got a whole roll of them and never checked to see if they were real. He had someone else complain about one out of that roll.
    But I still like the idea of a scumbag registry and might keep it going for a while if popular enough.

    It doesn't cost $20 to mutually agree to remove a negative feedback. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, who told you this?

    Had the same problem(blocked emails) from a seller also once. I ended up getting the contact info and calling. It was his provider blocking his emails. I guess he had the security feature set to tuff.

    He unblocked my e-mail address now and we are communicating finally. He told me that the only way to get the neg feedback removed that I posted is to go through Square Trade and from what I read it will cost me $20. That might be a problem there.

    This list could be used to block certain people from buying from you, which I consider a very important reason for having this list. If you have a list of blocked EBayers and want to share them here, then PM me with auction numbers if possible and reasons they are on your blocked list and whether they are a pay risk or a buy risk. I should divide the list in two categories, Pay Risks and Buy Risks.

    Here starts the list in alphabetical order:

    aaiou12 - "no response to emails very, very, very late payment".


    G-Carion - I bought a Type-2 S Cent from him and he sent me a Type-1. I found that he had blocked my e-mail when I first tried to contact him to complain. Seems like a reputable dealer, just a tad irresponsible for buying a roll of coins from someone and not checking them out before reselling one of them to me as well as one other buyer who also got a Type-1 from him. As a buyer, this person is not considered a pay risk.

    In order to fight spam, some ISP's (especially AOL) will block what looks like spam.

    Thanx Sphinx, I checked out your link, but it says that the neg feedback won't actually be removed, but it won't count against you. Hey, you won't believe this...I got an e-mail from Square Trade saying G-Carion has paid ($20) for a mediator to resolve this problem. That right there convinces me this guy is responsible and if he sends me the right coin like he has promised to do then I'll take him off of any lists that I may have. I think this is going to work out for the both of us.

    Always exhaust all avenues before resorting to something damaging. More research and effort should have been expended to resolve this issue.

    BTW...A published "SCUMBAG" registry might be a tad illegal. Maybe some of our barristers would like to weigh in on this.

    Ok, how bout this, we just share scumbag lists then. Those of you who are willing, please PM me your EBay Blocked Lists. Thank you.
    Anyone else who wants a share can ask. Those who have the lists can PM each other and hopefully we'll all be more secure.
    Oh, and by all means PM your preferred list too!
