Conder Tokens are selling like hotcakes

Why is it everytime I find a cool new direction to turn to in numismatics I get there just in time for the item I am after to get hot? Conder tokens seam to be on fire right now and their prices are rising as fast as oil prices.

Are you surprised, with the amount of exposure they're getting here? image

For every Darksider who posts here, let alone posts Conder tokens, can you imagine how many silent lurkers there are? Dozens, probably.

You can take the blame, along with farthing and The Dead King and others.

Hmm. Holed coins seem to be a lot hotter than they were back when I thought they were just "damaged" pieces. Think I'd better keep my mouth shut.

Time to start posting the glories of West German minor coins with the oak sprig on 'em. Yeah, that's the ticket. Or British decimal pennies. Yeah. Either way, if we can drive the price on those up, I have several pounds to cash in.

  • It seems the Americans like the conders more than the British do, personally i don't care for them. They're copper why should i? Not like they're gold or anything and even if they were i don't think i'd be that bothered cos they ain't real regal issues.

I dunno if the prices have risen in this area in Britain, possibly... hopefully we can ship them all to the US out of the way.

I've never seen a site where they are som popular, we never talk about them on predecimal. Occasionally some newbie will come along with a token, we are generally interested in any coins they say they have until we figue out they are all tokens then we just get a feeling of disdain. Me and copper all over really though.

Now show me a tin halfpenny or a tin farthing and i'm bouncing with enthusiasm, cos it TIN! Ah ha... wuhaha.

Ever had a tin coin? Oh they are wicked and i only thought i like precious metal coinage, but a high grade tin piece is a real charm. It really is. image

OK, now that Bill has officially pronounced them "hotcakes", I am listing several Conder tokens in my auctions tonight, al starting at ninety-nine cents with No Reseve. I was going to hold them for posterity, but the thought of all that sticky syrup on my tokens gives me the willies image
