1890-1908 Kwangtung 10 Cents, help with finding in krause

I am having trouble finding the Y# for this coin while looking in my 1901-present krause catalog. It jumps from 5 to 20 cent for the Kwangtung province. Is it in the 1800-1900?

thanks,
gus

  • I'm just guessing, but could it be Y#199 5 cents on page 380 of your krausse? Not a very good pic in the manual.

    What is the diameter?

  • the 5 cent pieces are 3.6 candareens.
  • Y#195.1, undated but attributed to 1889, $2,000 F, $3,000 VF, $4,500 XF, no value for Unc.

Y#195 is listed as having "7 3/10 candareens" on the obverse, otherwise identical and also attributed as 1889, but with much lower values: $100 F, $175 VF, $275 XF, $500 Unc., and no value for Proof.

Both versions are listed as 2.7g of .820 silver (ASW .0712 oz.)

From the picture, I would grade yours as having XF detail, image but probably cleaned in the relatively recent past - the last 20 years or so. image
