Have You Ever Accidently Cracked Out The Wrong Coin?

image

For example, you have a pile of slabbed NWPS, and you set some aside to be cracked. You start cracking coins out, but still have the stacks of other slabs nearby (i.e., ones not to crack), and ... well you can imagine the rest.

BTW, I have not had this happen, but was wondering if anyone else had.

  • Nope - can't say I have - I usually agonize over the coins I crack pretty badly before doing so.

Nope-but came close to accidently breaking a GSA case once. I was taking the top off the box and I didn't realize that the top of the box wasn't attached to the bottom. Thank goodness the case was snug inside when the bottom of the box bounced around on the concrete. image

I've only attempted to crack out one coin and it was in an ACG slab.

    Nope!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I came close a few days ago. Received 3 coins in the mail the same day. Two were destined to be cracked for my type set album. The third wasn't. Realized my potential mistake on #3 while coin #2 was still in the vise.
