Weaver/loom conder

Does anyone know the designation of the conder that has the loom with a weaver on it. My wife saw one while I was perusing E-bay and said "ooh... I like that one!". For that matter, does anyone have one they want to unload on me? I figure this is permission to buy a coin if I ever heard it!

  • There are several such tokens. Basicly it related to either the issuer or the local town being involved in the textile trade. For example Lancashire 140 - 147 were issued by John Kershaw of Rochdale Lancashire and he was a draper and he also had a company that was a woolen manufacturer. Norfolk 38 - 45 were issued by John Harvey of Norwich. The weaving trade was a major industry in Norwich.

I do have an extra Essex 10 that has a loom on it, no one is sitting at this loom though.
