Neat new Half Dime from Jade Rare Coin

Picked up a neat 1830 NGC AU-50 Half Dime from Jade Rare Coin today. Just type date but neat color for the issue. I've been looking for the right Half Dime for my type set and thank Dennis for putting an end to my search.

I hope it's JrGMan2004 approved!

Tonelover, I bought a small group of original raw busties and seated half dimes at the Willimantic, CT show 3 years ago. One of the busties was a killer AU58 with knockout colors. I paid $220 for it.
I just had to have it. This was before I ever knew about the CU Forum. And this was just before everyone went color crazy on circs. I was hoping to get $250 for the coin and finally bailed out of it for $210! when no one expressed any interest. Today? I know I could have sold the coin on the forum or ebay for $300-500. What a difference a few years makes.

I had a 2nd slabbed PCGS AU58 bustie about 18 months ago that I paid $190. Great color and nice flash. I had to beg a local dealer to take it off my hands for $200 as no one else had any interest. And next show I saw him at, the coin was priced at $275. Sometimes I just don't get it. And by the way, it sold.

I once had a PCGS AU53 that had nowhere near the eye appeal of that piece. image

Ziggy's trime is totally awesome, too! image

LordMarcovan, earlyus on eBay is not related to jaderarecoin on eBay (nor this forum). That account and this web site belong to James Garcia, who used to be a partner in Jade Rare Coin. He now runs his own business which is called EarlyUS.com. I just wanted to point this out. We would NEVER sell holed coins like the ones you purchased from James. (Our holed coins are not that nice!)

Off topic, but I was just looking on earlyus.com, he sure does have some beautiful capped bust halves; a couple are tempting me...
