Scam? New email added to Paypal account....

Anyone get an email from Paypal stating that there was a new email address added to their account? Received an email today stating that 'laptopseller@yahoo.com' was added to mine, yet it isnt my email account. Went directly to Paypal to check (naturally, thanx to previous posts, bypassed the link) and find nothing...anyone else get this with this email addy?

All sorts of paypal, ebay, bank, credit card, etc., email scams. Most folks get dozens per day. I believe it is a good idea never to click the link in the email.

If it claims to be from paypal, then, bypass the email and go directly to the paypal home page from your browser - thus you know it's really paypal. Then simply check your details in the profile and preferences page.

It will show you if a new email was added.

Some of the emails can look quite legitimate. The biggest tipoff is usually that the link goes somewhere other than where it claims.

I haven't gotten amy paypal scam emails lately. What I have gotten is 7 citibank scam emails to two different email accounts. Interesting thing is I don't have a citibank account.

Thanx for all the info....I have read here many times about others receiving these types of emails, but this is the first one for me...been sent to spoof@paypal.....

It's ascam. I receive this once every week. You did good by not clicking on the link. Never click on anylink provided go login manully.
