Check out the steps on this 1968-D

Not full steps but then again it is a 68-D. The coin is a 65/66 too bad the steps were not all there. Some of the weakness actually has some step detail that washes out.

That's about as much step detail as I've ever found on one of these.

Looks like the coin has great surfaces too. Even this is tough for the date.

That's MORE than I've ever found. That's a very strong example.

i've seen them with some step detail and i think i have one in a flip with three complete steps preceeded by a ramp!!!!! this coin is strange because it's actrually struck up on the sides under one and four, so i'd suspect that the planchet was flawed. what does the obverse look like, flat at the ear??

The obverse is 100% struck with all detail standing out. The cheek is full and all the lettering is clearly seperated from the rim. I have about 4 coins from the same roll that are nearly equally struck, it was just a good day, well as good as could be for 1968 in Denver, at the mint. I will upload a pic of the full obverse and reverse.
