In one sense, yes. But mostly, it is no wonder at all. I was being a cheapskate.
Paying $50 for a scanner that could scan 20 coins at once seemed the fiscally responsible thing, until I realized that any sales I might make are impacted by the quality of the image. I prefer the comment about a coin I sell to be "as expected" rather than "better than expected."
