Anyone deal with "COINKO" ???

I believe they sell on TV smoewhere/smoehow.......

Met him today at a local shop........ Seemed like a nice enough guy......... Watched as he wrote a 15K check for common circ morgans, barbers, etc......... Also saw a 1/2 bag of BU wheats 55-6-7-8 in the deal......... The dealers cases were pretty much bare when he left...........

Coinko must be a husband/wife team. In Feb 2002 they had a ton of raw toned Morgans on eBay. I bought a few and my E-mail exchange was with a lady somewhere around Chicago. The coins I received were in fact BU and I understood they had several mint sealed bags of Morgans.

In checking eBay, Coinko seems to have stopped selling there for the past year.

Coinko was running a lot of eBay auctions two years ago but have now disappeared. You can check their feedback and you will see it abruptly stops last year. Very honest people but you know what's happened on eBay.

The Coinko that I know of is owned by Gene Sanders, a veteran numismatist with the highest level of experience in the field. He travels nationally, but mostly restricts his dealings to other dealers. I believe that he has a home in the Chicago area. Hope this helps.

I purchased many bust halves from Gene Sanders from 1997 to 1999, when he used an Everett, WA coin shop as the base camp for his wholesaling business (Coinko). He got married and moved out of the area after 2000. I always enjoyed purchasing coins from Gene, he is very knowledgeable.

Gene Sanders is one of those "biggest players you've never heard of" types. We've done a number of transactions with him -- all of which have been quick, clean and friendly.
