This one is nearly full red. Aside from the MS64RD, this example has the most red color of any example.

Here is the second finest: (Dr. Larson coin)

Very cool, but I wonder how popular those are. I love indian cents to death and I'm collecting a mint state set of them, but those varieties just don't do it for me.

  • Those are very cool coins EagleEye! That first one looks very lustrous for an RB.

I don't collect Indians at all, but this variety does it for me!
    When in doubt, don't.

I like doubled dies where you can actually see the doubling, and that one certainly qualifies!

I can never keep up on whats right or wrong here."

    Laura,

Rick is just showing us some REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLY COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL coins image - NOT "hawking" them. image

I believe he's in full compliance with the letter (if not the spirit image ) of the "NEW RULES".

Anyway, those only apply to the Set Registry forum. image

BTW, Rick, is your book for Indians for the 1870-1899 available yet? image

Spam belongs in the BST or Set Registry Forum. No coins for sale here - period.

I agree - as cool as this is, at the very minimum don't mention that you are selling it. People can figure that out for themselves.

    Wow!
Pretty cool to assemble both of those at once. I take it this new coin traces back to Heathgate?
Looks like a lot of the big IHCents are coming out of the woodwork. I guess "Lakesamm" got them on the bandwagon. Best,

PCGS has two MS65RB's Heathgate, Larson
NGC has one MS-65RB, Snow Plate

All have their own special story which I love to relate in my class at the ANA Summer Seminar.

Agreed. Maybe we need to ask for a dealer only contest in which the dealer with the best 3 stories overall wins a prize! That way if we can get 100 dealers to participate we could pick up 300 great short stories. Even David Hall and Van Simmons would be eligible to win. Then we could all decide what the grand prize, first prize and second prize would be

It has to be something none of them have.

I was thinking of some possible ideas:

    (1) Free morning and afternoon coffee and soda service (beverages / pick up and delivery included) for of the dealer's choice at the next major show.
    (2) Free lunch service for the dealer at their table.
    (3) Get the dealer invited to a future PCGS Registry luncheon. (We could sweet talk homerunhall on that one?)
(4)Free assistance at the dealer's table at a major show in which we can just help ourselves to whatever we want for free and in the process, help the dealer cut down on what they must carry back home!
