Sure why send them to the big guys for grading when they either agree or give BETTER grades to your SEGS coins. He makes absolutely no sense in his ad. Thus AU58
There's maybe a $5.00 difference between a 62 and 63 so the coin might have a shot at a "market grade" of MS-63 just because both services( in my limited experience) sometimes seem to go easy on lower value coins where you shelled out a high percent of the value in grading cost. (of course I assume SEGS can tell an AU coin when they look)
Agreed with the others. It's either a 58 or a 62, IMO. I'm betting 62 because the TPGs aren't afraid to assign a higher grade for a coin like this, where a 62 has very little extra value over a 58. If this is an '84-S, '96-O, '97-O or '01-P, for example, it's much more likely to come back in a 58 holder.
Judging by the fact that 90% of his auction is defending SEGS and harly mentions the coin at all, one would suspect that this coin may be overgraded but would have to see it to be sure. If a seller really has to spend this much time defending why he chose a certain grading service, I don't think I'd want to put my money on it.
