I saw the other day on the USPS site that you can now send 1st class mail with up to $200 of insurance.
Since for me this is the greatest invention ever, I signed up.
I went thru the form and selected insurance, but it didn't list 1st class as an option. I called the 1-800-ASK-USPS and they were ignorant - and I couldn't the ad on their home page again saying they have added insured 1st class mail (it started in September or so it said)
So I decided to go with insured priority mail, and paid $6.05 ($3.85 + $2.20 insurance). It went thru the billing part and charged my card, but never printed a label. I called the click-n-ship phone number and got a recording saying they don't answer questions and it hung up.
Has anybody used this new feature of insuring 1st class mail using Click-n-ship?

It's good to hear they've finally got it up and running.
Believe me, it isn't up and running.
They have the part where they take your money down pat, but still have some issues with actually printing the label.

May labels printed fine after downloading the Sun Java from the USPS site.
They were advertising 1st class insurance on their home page yesterday, but it's gone now. You can purchase insurance with priorty mail (if you can get the label to print)
They're help text says:
Purchase insurance online with the following services:
• Express Mail® - Next day delivery to most locations, guaranteed or your money back. Express Mail is automatically insured up to $100 against loss or damage, but additional coverage can be purchased.
• Priority Mail® - Cost effective delivery in an average of 2-3 days.
• First-Class Mail® - If it contains matter that may be mailed as Standard Mail® or Package Services, and small packages weighing 13 ounces or less. (Not available in Click-N-Ship at this time.)
• Package Services - Small and large parcels, large envelopes and tubes. Includes Parcel Post®, and Media Mail®. (Not available in Click-N-Ship at this time.)
