Anyone know how many 1855 Flying Eagle Cents were made?

Does anyone know how many 1855 Flying Eagle cents were struck?
I just discovered that the mint had made some of these on different kinds of planchettes and was curious.
Before this I had no idea there were some 1855 FE's that were made.
I assume they were all special test strikes for testing and show and tell stuff.
Rick Snow has two of them here one PCGS and NCG graded coins.

Probably in the area of 300-400. There were several different alloys used and some of the compositions are thought to be quite rare. If you are serious about a large Flying eagle cent I would recommend one of the 1854 varieties which are considerably rarer and sell for about the same price.

Wow! 1854 FE's in large cent format.
I still learn new stuff everyday.

The 1854 and 55 flying eagles are closer to half cent size.

They are very common, but extremely popular. They appear in nearly every major auction. A nice 65 can be had for $3,000 to $3,500.
