Need some more coin photography help...

Any critique appreciated. I am especially interested in getting less orange-red hue (despite that it makes the coin look quite attractive).

    Not bad... another light may help to bring out lustre (if it's there)

    Also, have you had any success metering your light setup? That could get rid of any hues you have... that and spot metering on the center (the coin) when you shoot.

    Try dialing back either the saturation or the gamma. One or the other should do the trick.

    Doesn't look orange-red to me, although I don't have the coin in front of me (feel free to send it!) Sure it's not your monitor?

    The key to correct color is white balance. Follow the instructions in the book for a custom white balance, and the colors should be accurate as long as your light source doesn't change.
