Hardest damn things to move IMO!

Once a few years ago, I got ripped on these. I was coming back from Indiana and had about 30 minutes to catch a plane. Someone who I knew of ("very little", met me at the airport to get rid of some halves. He sold me 19 rolls of what I thought was 64's, but turned out to be 64's only on the two end roll coins packed with 40% in between. Being in a hurry, I never opened them up till I got home. Learned two things that day?

That sucks. It could have been worse if they were clads.

.1480 oz. actual silver weight per half X 20 coins = 2.96 oz. total X $7.30 bullion price = $21.61.

I don't worry about moving them when I can get them for face value.

Amen to that- a friendly teller hooked me up with three rolls a while back. Out of those three rolls only two coins were not 40% silver. (One was a clad and one was a 1964. Woohoo!)

Since I've got around 150+ of the clad silver Kennedys I asked the guy at my local precious metals shop about them. He hates to deal with them since he has to haul around lots of them to add up to any meaningful amount of silver. Since he doesn't like to mess with them he offers very little for them. So selling to this guy wouldn't be very profitable.
