The joestalin challenge

I tip my hat to Schilling's gutsy performance and the Red Sox comeback to force a game 7, and will do so tomorrow again if they win the pennant (as long as they clean their uniforms, helmets, and trim their hair and beards in time for the Fall Classic). joestalin, I challenge you to stop acting like a child, and to do the same when worshipping your 1-5 Trampled Bay team, and criticizing other teams.

At least Im here when the Bucs play, win or lose, you are off under the bed until the boards die down, you
are one of the most pathetic "fans" on here!

  • maybe he was at the game, or something? not everyone's life revolves around internet messageboards
  • Speaking of challenges, has anyone tried to tell the new pepsi edge apart from regular pepsi? They say you can't tell but I could!

Crazy talk from spammy10. So you're saying, spam king, that someone shouldn't embrace their team when they are doing poorly? No wonder they are 'your' giants when they win and 'the' giants when they lose....god you are such the typical bandwagon fan.

The Yankees have been my team since 1968, and will be forever, whether they win 100 games or lose 100 games.

Looks like you are downing joe for worshipping his '1-5' team?

Since when is it bad to worship your team in a time of downtime? I've always felt the downtimes were what made a fan, not the winning.
  • Axtell,

I don't think Gemmy is critizing Kevin for his love of the Bucs, I think he's critizing the fact that Kevin comes out and points out how every single team but the Bucs are pretenders, lucky, the refs gave them the game, etc. When the Bucs are clearly one of the worse teams in the NFL today.

Look I'm a Dolphins fan, even though they are 0-6, I still watch the games and I yell at the TV and get emotional.... even though the best thing that could happen is the Fins go 0-16 (we'd get rid off Wanny and Spielman and get the #1 pick) I still want them to win.

But I'm not out here saying - the Pats got lucky, the Eagles are pretenders, the Jets haven't beaten anyone and the Dolphins have two rings and the only undefeated season. See the point?

Looks to me that you are covering your multi-post on same subject arse gemmy ...

Who cares if you tip your hat to the Sox? I know most of us on these boards will not care. You post about every single little yankee story, stat, or bowel movement after a yankee win, and when the Sox tie it up and gain momentum you say you will tip your hat? Big deal. If the yankees win, I am sure it will be "chokesox this" or "red sux that" ...

So, if you do tip your hat - who cares?

noclass - I am with you, although I find his posts amusing. As an Eagles and Phillies fan, I have suffered. I would trade 10 2004 Dolphin season for an Eagles Super Bowl. I was there as a season ticket holder when they won 5 games and I still went to every game.

I love the smell of smack in the evening. I'm glad I missed the bowel movement threads though...image

If you are a baseball fan....we are very fortunate to be seeing some of the best ever league playoff series. I just hope the Wold Series is as exciting.

Like I said I give Schilling credit for his gutsy performance but what's up with that blood on his sock? You would think someone who made millions per year could afford layers of gauze, tape and what not to cover his wound. I think he was showboating.

agreed on that as well DH ... both series have been GREAT.

I really cannot wait until 8:15!

Gemmy - I support your Yanks affliction, but Schilling a showboat?? Come on man... As a kid, I saw Mantle play with blood coming through his uniform on his legs. Was he showboating?

Showboat? Did you ever think that blood may have seeped thru the gauze?

Gemmy ... you are really somethin.

    Well put, noclass.

Gemmy may be spamming the board with pointless posts, but at least he's not coming in here with joe's typical "all other teams suck - we won a superbowl" tirade. Gemmy's just a really pumped fan, and I applaud his attempt at a truce of sorts.

    That said...

Gemmy, it's a bit ironic that you challenge Kevin to stop "acting like a child" and adorn his team with a childish nickname in the same sentence, no? image
  • <<with a childish nickname in the same sentence, no?>>

OK, you are right. I will call them by their sir name, Tampa Bay
