that are currently in a PCGS holder have previously been in an NGC holder?

And, different answer maybe, vice versa?

  • A lot.

  • Man, that is a tough question.

So, were talking about successful crossovers AND crackouts for upgrades at another service, on coins worth over 5K.

That's where the money is. It's also where the money is lost.

Probably over 80%, maybe even higher.

These need not be successful crackouts upgrades and crossovers. Some are probably downgrades.

Here is my shot at the answer:

There is a market bias to get coins (eventually) into a PCGS holder, especially some series like Saints.

I would guess that 50% of coins (in this price range) presently in an NGC holder were once in a PCGS holder (at the same or perhaps lower grade), and 30% of the coins in a PCGS holder were once in an NGC holder. Just a WAG.
