Anyone know of this collection?

The Eagle collection? Who put it together? The reputation of the seller?

Thanks,
John

I don't know what else, but if I were a coin dealer (or anyone else for that matter)
and my last name was "Bogus",
    I'd change it.

The name Brett Bogus is very familiar for some reason.

    I can see it now:

    Collectables by Bogus
    Bogus Rare Coins
The Bogus Set of Walking Liberty Halves
    Bogus, LTD.
    Bogus Precious Metals

Yeah....I'd probably change the name. image

  • It was formed a few years ago, as I recall.

  • This set does not appear to be listed as an NGC Registry, unless it is part of the Richmond collection, which is said to be one of the most complete sets now existing. The Richmond set listed on NGC says it is 98% complete for the 1850-1907 $20.

The Eagle site also says this, " There are 20,000,000 coin collectors nationally and only one will have a complete set of $20.00 Liberties." I am sure that is Bogus, as our numbers here seem to reflect about 100 to 150 thousand collectors Nationally.

"The Richmond Collection - Coronet Double Eagles 1850-1907
Set Description: From the Richmond Collection, one of the greatest U.S. coin collections ever assembled. With over 3,600 coins, the collection comprises a near-complete set of U.S. coins from 1839 to 1955. "

Brett Bogus is a dealer that advertises in CW every so often.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
