Can you tell me what this coins are 2000 Wide AM,1983 Doubled Die Reverse?

  • You can look up the 1983 cent in a die variety search at this website www.coppercoins.com There is also a thread with pics at the same site.

    joeyuk already led you in the right direction of the 1983 DDR...I think the pictures over there are of a coin I used to own. image There is also a forum over at coppercoins...not very busy but the people who are active are very helpful and really know what they're talking about.

    There was a recent thread on this board concerning the 2000 Wide AM (along with the 1998 and 1999 Wide AMs) that included a picture of one along with discussion of price levels. You should be able to search for it or just browse thread titles from the first handful of pages to find it.

  • Wide AM means that on the back of the cent in question there is a wide space between A-M in AMERICA, pert near as wide as the space between M-E.

    And if you have a 1983 ddr, you will know it.
