Just noticed the 1978 current leader set is now complete, while checking the registry, hope this is not really old news, but it is news to me, at least, and I would like to share a little bit of info related to the major BB sets from the 74 thru 80 era, the era of sets being issued all at once, not via series, and the last time Topps had the market exclusive, and before traded / update sets.
First congrats to Guy for a great job in complete form and a fine GPA. Also kudos for including pictures on most of the first 150 cards ( more to come ?? ), as only 3 other sets from this time span, complete or very near, also include pictures. One can truly enjoy actually seeing some gems and drool over them.
A breakdown of complete and near ( 84 % + ) complete to full sets;
1974: 5 complete, 9 near complete and fully complete in total
1975: 7 - 12
1976: 0 - 4
1977: 1 - 2
1978: 1 - 3
1979: 0 - 0
1980: 0 - 1
Just a little info some may find interesting. Now DGF and Guy have the only complete graded sets from 76 to 1980, well done fellas !!

i just added another 200 images yesterday
and hope to have the rest of them by the weekend.
i'll post something a little later about the efforts it took for this monster of a set and why the 78's don't get enough love
take a look and let me know what you think!
I have been collecting the 1978 set for a little bit now.
Actually I have been thinking recently of getting out of it as well. In the process of buying a house and the money could be used elsewhere.
I do not have my spreadsheet here in front of me, so I am going to go from memory here. I have approx 200+ cards or so. All of them are graded PSA 9 with about 20 or 30 being PSA 10.
If someone would be interested in talking with me about starting up the set or upgrading let me know.
I would only sell this as a one shot deal.
If you would be interested, drop me an email at: rruth@comcast.net
Hope to hear from you
Rob Ruth
P.S. I also have starter sets from 1971 and 1975 that I would consider selling as well. The 1971 is all PSA 8. The 1975 is completely PSA 9
I have been working on this for 2 years but am stull under 10% PSA graded. Obviously it has not been top priority. I do plan to eventually finish it in 9 or higher, but I but it will take me a bit of time.
Its nicet to see the set maintaining interest though.
