I used to collect when I was I kid and I'm getting back into it. It all started when I found an Edward V 1928 Canadian Nickel in the dirt. I ordered a few book to get more educated but I couldn't resist buying a few pieces on eBay.

The 1882-H Large Cent and 1949 Matthews Dollar look OK for the price. The 1935 Dollar is hard to tell from the scan. When you get it look for lines in the fields that may indicate the coin was cleaned.

Price was real good for the '49. I can't tell what condition the Large Cent is due to the blurry pic, though.
Overall I'd say you did well

From the scans:
The 1882H large cent looks XF maybe AU. If the red color is true and not cleaned, you are OK. Catalogue is C$14 EF, C$28 AU, C$65 MS60.
The 1949 $ looks very nice. Cat is C$40 MS60, C$50 MS63.
I think you got stung on the 1935 $. Lots of wear on HRH cheek, beard, ear if EF cat is C$40.

It may be safer to buy Canadian coins in ICCS slabs (not ICS, ICSS, or any other knockoffs, though).
