Really beautiful pieces. Some day we'll have to compare Derbyshire's and see who has the better piece. i only call mine an AU-58 but I think it may have better surfaces than yours does. Hey, between us we own 1% of the total mintage.

Coming from conder101 that is the utmost in compliments.image

My image of the Derbyshire does it no justice I'll have to retake it.

What really depresses me is I missed aquiring a great token:

    COVENTRY D&H 38a.

Exterior of St. Michael’s Church/ Interior of same---- the reverse on this token is considered by
many as the standout die engraving jobs in the whole series. Wonderful 3D effect. Obverse,
small scratch--reverse, perfect. Brown UNC, RARE

I was a day or 2 late on snagging that one.

Yes, that is a superb one. Don't worry though, you will have another shot at one. He often has one, seems to try and keep one in stock and for their rariety they show up a lot. The reverse is spectacular but he obverse is nothing really special.

According to Sriro the mintage was approximitely 72 pieces, yet he lists having seen 11 different specimens. I've had a nice brown Unc for about two years now. I got it from the same person you tried to buy yours from and I think he has handled at least one other piece during that period.

Would the last one qualify as a stag party? (P.S. super nice tokens.)

LM, sounds good, don't collect them. Too many people chasing them already and the available supply is thin enough that it only takes a few new people entering the market to have serious effects on the prices.

You ain't kidding. Those Prices at the Dix Noonan auction were going wild.
