New twist to my collecting (at least for me)!

The last few shows I've gone to, I've tried to target a few key date, or more expensive coins to look for. I found myself in Toledo this past weekend, and was a little short on funds. I went to the Blue Ribbon Coin and Stamp show, with the goal of picking up some hole fillers for my various modern sets in order to keep expenses down. I set a limit of $5/coin (I made a few small exceptions). It turns out I had a lot of fun doing this! I was able to complete my Kennedy and Washington collection, fill out my circ. mercs with everything but the 16D and 21D, halve the number of buffalo's I needed for my circ set, get myself down to only 5 coins needed for 2 full sets of wheats, and picked up a few circ Walkers. The best part is I spent less than $100 total. I guess I had to prove to myself that you can have fun collecting no matter what your budget is. The added bonus is my want list is suddenly much smaller and easier to manage.

Congrats! Sounds like a lot of fun, and all that for less than $100 is quite a success.
