BJ question for you, so does that mean I can add cards to my set even though they are not in the registry yet? By meaning not in the set, I'm currently working on the Michael Jordan master set which has 2609+ cards but I have like 50+ cards I need to add but they are not in this set yet. I've been getting Cosetta help in adding them to the registry. So with the new feature will this allow me to add it in the registry myself???
Also you are the MAN!!! <<<<< Finally, cards which have been authenticated, but carry no grade, will count
towards the completion percentage after this week.

This is what I've been waiting for...... MY HOF AUTOGRAPH SET!

Dear PSA Set Registrant,
It's hard to believe that a year has flown by and in just two short weeks the
judging for the 2004 PSA Set Registry awards begins. We've had a very busy
summer with the new software upgrade. We wish to thank you for your patience
during the upgrade process. Currently, all systems are running properly.
This week we will be adding the multiple card addition function which will allow
you to add your cards to multiple sets at one time, i.e. a basic and master set
for example. In addition, the qualifier deductions and the population
calculations will be adjusted. (Please see my post in the PSA Set Registry forum
for details:
http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=37&threadid=330562 )
Finally, cards which have been authenticated, but carry no grade, will count
towards the completion percentage after this week.
From the email that has been sent to mailto:setregistry@collectors.com there
seems to be some confusion with regards to the missing spec number issue. To
clarify, if you attempt to add a card and you receive a message that states that
the card does not have a spec number in the set, this does not necessarily mean
that the card is not in the PSA database. In most cases, the card is in the
database, but the identification number (spec number) is not in the Registry.
The spec number is the way in which the program identifies that the card is
correct for the set and allows for automatic validations. When this message
occurs, simply email mailto:setregistry@collectors.com with the name of the set
and the certification number and the Registry staff will add the spec number to
the set. You will be notified when you can add the card to your set.
The greater percentage of instances where this will occur will be in the player
and HOF sets, and in some of the more modern sets. If you are adding a card
that has not previously been added to the set, it is likely you will receive the
message that the spec number needs to be added. As more and more cards are
added to the Registry, occurrences of this nature will diminish.
AWARDS DEADLINE OCTOBER 31ST
The deadline for this year's PSA Set Registry Awards is Sunday, October 31st.
Any new sets or edits to existing sets must be validated before 10:00 pm EST
(7:00 pm PST).
In order to qualify you must own and have possession of the cards you are
listing in your sets.
Occasionally, you may find a card is still being listed in another member's set,
may not be in the PSA database, or may be missing a spec number in the Registry.
Therefore, it is imperative that you plan ahead. If you are unable to add a card
and you receive an error message, please email mailto:setregistry@collectors.com
PRIOR to the deadline. WE MUST RECEIVE YOUR EMAIL BY 10 PM EST (7 PM PST) IN
ORDER FOR THE CARD TO QUALIFY. DO NOT send your email to info@psacard.com or to
an individual.

Judging by PSA experts will take place the first week in November and the
winners will be announced in mid-November.
Thank you for your participation in the PSA Set Registry. Should you have any
questions about the new software, the 2004 awards, or other issues, please feel
free to email me directly.

Does that mean you're not going to sell me all your HOF cards after all? ;-)
Seriously, congratulations on the success of your tireless campaign to include the Authentic cards in HOF sets. I'm dying to see what you've got.

There are two types of situations with the player sets. First, if the card is already listed in the set composition, but you can't add it, then it requires a spec number to be added. That is accomplished very quickly after you email setregistry@collectors.com with the set name and your cert number.
However, if the card is not listed in the set composition, then it will need to be added. We are not adding new cards that were requested after 8/31 until after 10/31. If you have emailed Cosetta your list and she received it after 8/31, your cards will be added after 10/31 and she will notify you when you can add your cards. As a note, we are still updating some of the player sets with requests we received prior to 8/31. We have about two dozen sets that still need updating.
