Common enough scenario.....I want to stir the pot on this and hear what people think
(btw....I have asked permissions from someone I won the auction from...but, no response from them in over a week...glad I got the coin and didn't need to contact them for any problems )
....and, I have no auctions going...but, I did download the auction pics onto my HDD w/o asking...I am sooooo bad
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

<< <i>Ask first. If they say yes, then fine. If not, then you are breaking the law. Don't do it without permission. This is a copyright issue. Everytime you take a picture, you create intellectual copyrights to that picture. Using other peoples photos without permission is against the law. >>
Should I ask and also say "since you are so busy, I will make it easy and only expect a reply if you don't want me to. Else, silence is consent."

if the picture is not copy righted or trade marked the photographer would have a tough time in court, and besides, unless its a pix of an important event or person, who cares ?

Hi,
the simple act of publishing the image on the internet to make the sale automatically copyrighted the image to the seller. Technically, it need not be marked in any way, but it does help
