Games hottest player and Home Run machine! Will probably sign with the Yankees for $20 Million/season in the highest exposure market out there. Dream job playing CF for the Yanks, following in the footsteps of Mantle and Dimaggio.

Trying to get that much for a Royals jersey is like you trying to get $$$ for a Michael Jordan Wizards jersey when a Michael Jordan Bulls jersey is the better jersey..
An Astros jersey would not sell for more than a Royals jersey at this point unless they win the World Series. Most likely he will not be an Astro next year. With guys of this quality the team doesn't matter much. The only teams that add weight to game used jerseys and equipment are the Yankees, Cardinals and some Red Sox.
The real deal is much different than the card market, stick to what you know Joe.
Players move around too much, so unless you are a fan of that team or a HUGE fan of that player, you aren't going to be collecting old teams items, unless that player did something GREAT with that team. Beltran didn't do anything great with the Royals, the Royals sucked. Sure he put up good numbers, but he didn't even make the playoffs there.
I would rather own a Pudge Rodriguez Marlins or Tigers jersey than a Rangers one.

<< <i>I wouldn't buy a baseball jersey, pansy sport. >>
step in at a Randy Johnson fastball aimed at your head or stand in place of Mike Piazza as Albert Pujlos comes crashing into home plate and try and call it a pansy sport

AROD's Seattle jersey's so sell for more than his Texas jerseys for the most part. Nothing ever sells more than a Yankees jersey. You can have the most common of all commons in a Yankees jersey and it sells above some star jerseys. That's just the way it goes.
Beltran became a star with the Royals. Now, many people didn't know it becuase they only watch Fox Saturdays and the playoffs, but he has been considered the player to get for almost 2 years now.
On the Pudge thing, the Marlins jersey would be special because they won the world series. His Rangers jerseys are more sought after than Tigers for several reasons. The Tigers are still bad and he was the best catcher in the league as a Ranger, won an MVP award was a perennial all star and gold glove winner.
The fact of the matter is, people pay the most money for Hot items. I'm not going to go spend $2000 on a Game worn Jersey from a crappy team. Heck, I own several authentic game worn autographed items and didn't have to pay even close to that amount.
Compared to football, rugby, hockey, etc. where does baseball rank in the 'non-pansy' sports? Yea... exactly.

<< <i>I'd glady let Pujols ran into me. I bet the PANSY couldn't even move me. I'm not kidding either... it'd be like running into a brick wall. I never knew anyone who could run through one of those...

i'm sure with you standing still & him running full steam he'd be the one getting knocked down... sure.. thats what would happen
& you didnt answer about the randy johnson fastball off the forehead... how bout that... would that bounce off of you like hitting a brick wall too??
and where in my post did I compare it to football, rugby or hockey... i wasnt comparing baseball with that... its a different type of sport, but far from pansy

Who is best? Mastronet? Grey Flannel Auctions? American Memorabilia auctions?
Beltran is one of the hottest players in the game and he put up some monster stats and won a Rookie of the Year with the Royals. If some of you guys don't appreciate the small market teams, that is really your loss. Baseball is broken, but a star is a star. Carlos is most definately the next "big thing" in MLB.
