New Position at the ANA

astroratastrorat Posts: 9,221 ✭✭✭✭✭
Hello folks!

Many of you know me as a professor in the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin. Well, I have moved and sorta changed professions. Although I will still be in research and teaching, it will no longer be in pharmacy. Now, it's in numismatics.

At the beginning of October I joined the ANA as the Director of Numismatic Curriculum and Educational Development. This is an exciting move and I am looking forward to working at the Association with the great staff that already work there.

So, here is an open invitation . . . if you have any suggestions, ideas, programs, etc., related to numismatic curriculum or new educational programs, please let me know. My address is "brunner@money.org". I take all comments and suggestions seriously. This is an important time in our hobby and profession and numismatic education can play a significant role in our growth.

    Lane: Congrats.

Does this also mean I will now win bids on auctions that you also bid on?image

I have lots of ideas for you. I would prefer to send them by pm so that I can save them. Is that possible?

    Congrats, astrorat!

To me, education is the heart and soul of the ANA's mission and your new position puts you right in the driver's seat. I wish you the best of luck. I hope the ANA can reach all those people out there who desperately need to learn something about coins before putting their money on the line.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
