Just sniped me THIS SET off of eBay for $202.51. Didn't NEN just sell 2 of these sets for over $300.00 each?

P.S. That was too close for comfort my max bid was exactly $202.51

Congratulations!! Those are hard to come buy. I recently beat another sniper by about $2.50 for a medal that hammered for a similar price.

Great Bill! I was watching that set to see where it would go. I have but one more coin to add to the AU/BU set I am working on. The only thing that I was curious about this set was the coins being in the plastic. I'd check the set when it comes for PVC 'cause myself I have never seen one of these with the coins packed in the plastic. A big time congrads to you!!! You snagged this at a great price

I wouldn't worry about PVC, at the contrary, I believe the plastic helped the coins so far, it's a proof set after all.

edit: not a proof set, but I still think it helped the coins from getting scratched.

"D" All the Krause shows for 1928 are proof sets.

I would really love a set of the 1927 coins those are amazing. Anyone got a link to some cool pictures of the 1927 series? The Krause images do them no justice.

NENs weren't wrapped in PVC, and none of these sets were issues in plastic so....
I think there was a thread about this set when it was listed.
I had it on my watch list too but wasn't going to touch it b/c of what looks like PVC damage.
Hopefully the seller will be as accomidating as the listing implies if you have any troubles.
