Some pretty pics...

I was out bicycling, despite the weather not being great - low 50s and somewhat overcast. As the leaves are starting to turn here (peak probably still 1-2 weeks away), I brought my camera along. On the route, I went through a covered bridge:

And just think - the guys that built this bridge, probably had some of these in their pockets when they were brand new, minted only about 40 miles away:

I also passed these along the way:

Neat how the side in the sun has already turned, and the shaded side is just starting to turn.

Philly Cream Cheese is owned by Kraft. I don't think it ever was made in Philly.

That's awesome, Barry! This is the type of history I love from coins... I'm really glad that I live only a few miles from some colonial estates, including Washington's headquarters image

    Thanks guys.

Bikingnut - it's Bucks Co., PA. I did a ~40 mile ride a few years ago that took me through 6 covered bridges(not including this one), the oldest c. 1830 or so, and I know of at least one other covered bridge I've visited nearby, located within a state park.

Jeremy - Washington Crossing State Park is just a few miles from here. Every year they do a reenactment of George & Co. crossing the Delaware (unless the river's frozen. Unusual, but it did happen a few years ago).
