Any comments/opinions on the Clifton, NJ coin show?

I thought the show was today, found out it wasn't, wasted a trip.

Is this show worth checking out? Can anyone share their experiences about it?

I lived in Clifton and went to the show a couple of times. You are not going to find that many high end registry coins. Jon is right its a nice small show. I seen more collectors selling than dealers. But it was free when I went so I wasnt disappointed.

I went to the Clifton show today. It's a pretty decent small show with about 30 dealers and decent floor traffic. I've been going to the show for about 10 years and it has grown over the past 3 or 4 years.

As has been said, it generally features lower-priced US coins, mostly raw, several world and ancient coin dealers and a guy who sells world currency and various checks (he's got a lot of cool stuff!). There is some PCGS/NGC/ANACS slabbed material, and sometimes you can find something nice. A few of the dealers also go to Parsippany. There's also a wholesaler (Kenny) who has a real mix of stuff at cheap prices - gold, modern proof sets, misc. slabbed material, raw coins, etc.
