Vector Calculus is alot more fun and interesting than diff/int calculus. I guess because it has more real life applications and physics in it.

You're kidding, right? VC is very useful in Newtonian and Fluid Mechanics, but only in their most elementary form. You mentioned Fourier. Fourier Analysis is tremendously important to the aerospace field.

BTW, Wiles used both analysis and algebra techniques to prove Fermat's Last "Theorem". Took him ten years!!!

  • Calculus...mathematics...theorums...proofs? Wow, if someone says "proof" to you, which meaning do you think of first, a proof coin or a theorum proof?

Why can't you have a sustained interest in both and enjoy life to its fullest. Who says you can't have multiple hobbies?

Exactly. Coin/Currency Collecting and Time Travel DEFINATELY go together, haven't you ever seen Back to the Future part II? You're going to need to collect enough currency appropriate for the period you are travelling to in the past to be able to survive until you get back!

HEY Bajjer (Thomas)....uh-hum...that's 186,000 miles per second SQUARED.!image Dig it?image
  • So, calculus, physics and space.

What, no "time"......as in you're going to focus on calculus, physics and space but not calculus, physics, space AND TIME? Geeze. Maybe you ought to stick to coins. image
