Question to grades?

If a coin has a few small carbon spots, does that lower the grade?
Can carbon spots form after a coin has been slabbed?

Carbon spots can lower the grade...it's a matter of degree. If the coin was a low end liner, a few minor spots might lower the grade.

I believe a coin can get spots after being holdered, but I believe it's much less likely.
