Hey, all the nice ACG coins aren't gone from the market!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

keetskeets Posts: 25,351 ✭✭✭✭✭
ah-yes, there are still a few nice ones left and it's incumbent upon us all to find them, remove them from the open market, crack them and either slap 'em into an album or have 'em reholdered.

The task is to find them!!!! There's one listed at the link that closes Sunday evening. Anyone care to guess which one it is?? And despite what some might say, you won't go blind or risk serious health problems, let alone cripple the hobby, if you follow the link.

Were there ever any to begin with?
    When in doubt, don't.

If he isn't getting enough for them he cancels the auctions in the last minutes. I was watching some of the old Canadian and he canceled them before I could snipe!!

    Oh nononononononononononono!!!!

Aside from that looking like a Bunsen (burner) nickel rather than a Buffalo nickel, the wording on the first item in the list I saw (the gold piece):

IP IS $3600.......... (other misc BS here) . IP = internet price, i.e. collectors universe which is for PCGS certified coins. Used solely as a guide

So, looks like they are trying to skirt anything from PCGS about using PCGS price guide for non-PCGS coins.
Calling it an Internet Price, then referring to that as the guide for PCGS cert coins but still listing it.

    CROOKED CROOKED and DISHONESTLY DECEPTIVE

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Careful Ron, calling a certain individual on being the slimeball that he is can be detrimental to your legal health.

In case you didn't know, that seller is Alan Hager, owner of ACG!!!

Or past owner, think his daughter owns it now.

Yes it can Eric, but, it is all conjecture from reading my post...no names were mentioned image
"they" can be anybody....besides, legally, I would be very quick on the countersuit.
I have no money and I would LOVE to get some image

The buffalo on that nickel looks like he is carrying in a scar from and old Sharps rifle bullet wound.

Well, I did buy a $3 dollar gold piece in a AGC holder a few years back marked AU58 for $690 on ebay. I was more concerned in it being real than the grade. I'd say it's about an AU50 because it's close to my PCGS $3. The $10 gold piece I brought in that holder was more for collecting and gold value. I usually bid 20% under book on PCGS and NGC. I like ANACS also which some don't, in my view they have a more realist grading system that doesn't change due to the value of gold and silver but that's just me.

PS- My first post but I've been reading for over a year.

    Thanks, nice to be here!

I’m fairly plan spoken (opinionated) and the spelling and grammar police that don’t agree with me may take exception. I’m not afraid to tell you my opinion but it’s only that. I’ve been in and out of collecting since the early 70’s but grew tried of the “it’s a piece” when your selling and “only driven by a little old lady” when buying. I came back into collecting on a limited basis in the late 90’s, but mainly in circulated gold at just over spot prices. I love the ugly Franklins also for some reason, I guess in part because it’s such a short series and you can still afford to own the complete collection with the proofs. You have a very good board here.

I’m sure I’m in the minority here but the moderns keep me buying the mint doing a heck of a job IMO. I love to collect and they have done a very good service for this hobby. I’m sure this will bring many into coin collecting if the grading can be resolved with the higher grades bring the kind of money they d

Keets - If you continue to buy ACG coins, someone else is going to submit more coins to ACG so that he can sell them to you.

Oh cool!! You mean it's ok to buy all that ACG gold that I see listed? I had heard they had a lot of cleaned & counterfeit gold in their holders. I feel much safer now with several of you praising them.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
