1925 Norse American Medal ??

Does anyone know anything about this medal. I have one in Choice BU condition. Its 1/16th inch thick. Is this the thick or thin medal?? If its the thick one what is the mintage?? Also what do they go for?? I would grade it MS 63. Thanks for any info. Cameras on the blink no pics sorry.

1/16" thick sounds like a thin. I'd guess it's worth about $200 in 63, but I could be off a bit.

  • Thick had a mintage of 33,750 while the Thin had only 6,000. There were also 100 Gold medals and 3" silver plated medals (75 authorized but only 60 struck). The Thick is .087 inches thick and the Thin is .065 inches thick.
