Much better!! I still cannot see why PCGS gave only a 65 for that. Maybe it's because of the scratches the lion gave the man's leg. Yeah, that must be it.

Good question anyone know? The Krause does not carry this kind of info.

The engravers' names are on the obverse of both coins. I can't quite make them out, but on the 1/2 Lek, it's at bottom left and looks like "G. Romm..."; on the 1/4 Lek it's one of the names/words under the lion's hind legs.

They both have: G. Romagnoli & A. Motti.INC.

I'm unfamiliar with either of them, but I think they're both Italian.
