    Nice........I have one about as heavy frosted as that one, but it's hairlined worse than a rabbit.

    Jim, nice looking half. One of the interesting things about the 69's is that the re-painting of the dies is more apparent than for other years, and some of them have incredible variance in whiteness on the devices. When the mint refreshed the dies, they would paint the recesses with muratic acid and a q-tip, according to Tomaska's interviews with former mint workers. The result is occasionally uneven frost that doesn't match normal die wear. I like the variability of the 69. Yours looks like a nice example. image
