How long are twenties gonna stay so cheap?

Lite circs almost no difference from price of bullion AEG, ML, KR, etc.
Used to be axiomatic $100 premium to bullion.
Seem cheap at such a paltry premium.
Wider spreads and lack of liquidity part of problem.

Anyone think the NEXT gold rush will bring them to their former exalted status or have so many years elapsed with em just taggin along that folks will NEVER pay a premium for em?

Talking ....circs....here.

They SHOULD have a premium if only for the ones afraid of gold confiscation possibility with straight bullion.

Good question. Do these circs just have lower numismatic demand compared to other denominations and metal types coinage?

Those circ $20's still bring a good premium to bullion. The buy prices on XF $20 LIbs at National Gold Exchange earlier in the week was around $450. Now, last I checked, that's probably a $50 premium to melt. If you consider Ch Au's the spread might be $60. I suspect the premiums will increase slightly if gold goes up further. But I doubt we'll see more than $100 premium for circs. I think the UNC spreads still have a ways to go before they head back the other way. It might take $600 or $800 or $1000 gold to start shrinking the premiums. For now, they should expand.
