I doubt it, although it's worth ten bucks by virtue of being slabbed.

Through diligent weekly visits to coin stores I've seen a quantity of different german states coins and tokens (large german expatriate population in the Rochester area) in a variety of grades. None of them are particularily expensive, usually $3 to $5 to $10 apiece in fine to very fine but none of them are slabbed.

LordM is certainly correct, the slabbing justifies the cost to you. There are enormous quantities of German States coins and tokens out there that present a multitude of opportunities for collectors, although why someone would slab an AG3 is puzzling. Did you buy the coin originally only because it was slabbed?

  • No, I thought what I could see of the design was kind of neat. And I also liked the orinigal look
