2 FEATHER INDIAN 5 CENT?

Does anyone have or seen a buffalo 5 cent in UNC that has only 2 feathers? Are there such creatures? I have seen VF examples but none better.

Yes-a few dates. I have, in my collection, MS 1913-S-1, 1916, 1917, 1919 & 1920. I've only seen two of the 1913-S-an AU and the aforementioned Unc. I've seen an Unc 1921 and 1921-S.
  • Yes there are. For those that don't know, look behind the head between the large feather that hangs down and the back of the neck. You will see a stump of a feather there on most buffalos. A two feather coin lacks this stump. 1915 is a good year to look for the 2 feather variety.

Dammit, I just saw a really sweet pic of one, now I can't find it. I'll link it later if I find it.

Do either one of you have an image of an uncirculated example?

    A low MS ANACS example.

Wow, I love these die polishing varieties, I have never seen an UNC. I believe them to be exceedingly rare in UNC.
    Thanks for sharing.
