Feedback of 10, never sold a card before, just tossing in a raw Mantle rookie with some modern inserts and a '61 Whitey Ford in sad shape. No reprints, guaranteed to grade. Of course, by the time the bad news comes back from PSA, this guy and your money are long gone .....

MANTLE '52 TOPPS #311 ROOKIE PSA 9 RUTH GEHRIG FORD!
Realize how many different kinds of searches will pull up this auction? I'm surprised he didn't include the word "porn" in his title somewhere....

This guy has a rating of 10 and the total of all those purchases is $53.26! This is one of the guys who should be selling the infamous Bling Bling Slings!
There's a bad moon on the rise! Get it?
<< <i>what about this card? seems cheap for such a good card and from a relatively new seller. possibly a stolen scan? >>
5 minutes later and this whole deal is gone - not a trace! That's weird!
"All evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
But...new 1952 Mantle's have surfaced recently that actually look exactly like the real card from a scan because they are made from a legitimate card being copied and printed onto cardstock. The cardstock actually feels pretty thick, but a quick glance at one in person with a loupe will reveal it's entirely in half-tone, including the white areas. They are also opaque, so direct light will pass right through them which is a dead giveaway. However, those sellers have a much better chance of getting away with it than the other pathetic morons like this bozo.

I've heard about these modern Mantle repros with no reprint disclaimer. Incredible.
What amazes me, and makes me laugh in a disgusted sort of way, is that these clowns think this is so clever. To take a 1990s reproduction, rub in dirt a little, round the corners a bit, and then list it on eBay as follows:
"My father/grandfather/uncle had this card since he was a boy. I don't know anything about cards, but I'm pretty sure it's worth something. It doesn't say reprint anywhere, so I think it is real."
Or there just happens to be some paper damage on the back where "reprint" was to be found. Or any of the other common ploys they use trying to trap people who think they'll find a 52T Mantle on eBay for a bargain price.
I guess they wouldn't keep doing it if people didn't keep falling for it. At least we have the satisfaction of knowing there are few less victims because of these boards, and the members who warn bidders in these scams.

Can this moron make it any more obvious that he's trying to rip someone off? I didn't think people could be this dumb, but I guess I was wrong.
