Fairly new stuff, including some type coins and Draped Bust holey upgrades (mostly camera practice).

Have a long way to go with this camera. I'm still using it freehand without any special lighting, of course.
A neat little toned Prussian coin. The obverse has some hints of color I didn't capture. Haven't ID'ed it exactly, yet, but the "E" mintmark is Konigsberg, in East Prussia. You'd be amazed at how often you can pick up old Darkside stuff like this for less than ten bucks- and often they'll have a catalog value of only three or four bucks. Maybe this will be a pleasant surprise when I attribute it, but it's probably a cheap coin. I doubt I have more than two or three bucks in it. In fact, I might have less than a dollar in it.
Edit: Aha. Found it. East Prussia, one grossus, 1778-E. Cataloged under Poland. It books $12.50 in VF and $22.50 in EF. Only 317,000 struck. Interestingly, it's billon and not copper. (Billon was an alloy of copper and silver). I love this kind of Darkside stuff.
1842 half dime from coinlieutenant. I hardly captured the colors on this one at all.
1867 No Rays Shield nickel from coinlieutenant. It has some neat orangish peripheral toning. I caught a little bit of it in the reverse picture. Didn't notice the die break until I took the pictures.
An upgrade to the two holed Draped Bust quarters on my vest- one slightly nicer one from granddad.
Another granddad holey, this a substantial upgrade for my Draped Bust Heraldic Eagle half. These pics don't do it justice. He said it had "Fine details" but I think it's nearly VF details. He practically gave it to me, for fifty bucks in trade. This is what I look for in a holey coin- a pretty looking piece with a well-placed, tidy hole at the top. A heartbreaker to some folks but a pleasing addition for me.

Those two holey classics, well it's a shame about the holes. There still nice old coins though.
The Shield 5 cent no rays, looks a lot better than mine.

Thanks.
Oh, and if you wanna upgrade your Shield nickel, I'll switch coins with you if you wanna pay the difference. (Like a car dealer, I take trade-ins).
(The only other response to this thread was a PM from MeanMarty, sayin' my coins looked seasick because of the greenish pictures.)
I'm tryin'. Like I said, there's still a long way to go.
