Anyone have an idea of the value of a Lexington Half in the original wood box?

I've seen the box double the price of the coin, of course depending on the quality of the coin.

The box has value on its own, and so does the coin. There isn't any particular premium for having the specific box that goes with a specific coin.

I don't have exact numbers, but the box is like $50. I wouldn't call it common, but there are enough out there for anyone who wants one.

64 for the coin is like $125-150, while 65 is like $500-600. Check your favorite auction sites for actual prices if you need accurate numbers.

Liberty Numismatics' Buy List (www.commemcoins.com/buy.html) offers $35.00 for the Lexington box so I'd say jonathanb is correct in his answer to your question.

Don't get me wrong. I think they're great and bought a few of them years ago. But I always wondered.........

Would like to buy one for my own stash too.
