Just looks to me like someone has impressed a high grade V nickel into a round piece of brass.

I'd say a stamp or a seal.The seller could have been more descripitive in his pictures & text.

I'm not up on my patterns. Is there a pattern that looks like this? It certainly isn't what he says it is.

I guess I'm trying to figure out why this was made. It's not even close to a normal V nickel if it was a counterfit die, it isn't a pressed counterfit form a real V nickel. So why was this made?

I would imagine English is a second or third language for him.

Interesting item. Not hundred-dollar interesting, but interesting, nonetheless.

Usually I'll spot differences in lettering before anything else, but this one slipped past me because of the inversion, until poorguy posted the side-by-side comparison.
