Does the rattling that takes place in old rattler holders have any deleterious affect on the coin?

<< <i>I don't believe the devices of the coin make contact with the inside of the shell as the coin rattles back and forth. I think the contact is restricted to the rims of the coin. Maybe over enough time you could have a luster loss on the rims but frankly other than looking for nicks most people don't pay too much attention to them. I've never heard anyone say "It looks like a 65 to me, but it looks like it might have a luster break on the rim.". >>
